Steel detailing is the process of developing design drawings into shop drawings with sufficient level of detail for fabrication and erection purposes. We work with all parties to make sure that the detailing approach is compatible with field and shop conditions.
We use Tekla Structures, and industry leading detailing software, to model the steel structure in 3D, down to every bolt and weld. The model is then used as a single source of truth to produce general arrangement drawings, followed by generation of assembly and part drawings. The model can also be used to produce an accurate bill of materials for reliable cost estimates.
In cases where connection design is delegated to the contractor by the designer, we also offer connection design services.
